We began this project by gathering together our dreams and deciding on a basic story line for our video. We chose to focus primarily on Lizzie’s dream where she was having a girly day with her friends and they convince her to kill her boyfriend. We also combined this Sophia’s dream by making the girls be in a college sorority. The next step was to map out a story board.
The next step was to take the storyboard and turn it into a script. This is a small excerpt from the original script.
INT. TRASHROOM – DAY
The girls are shoving the body in the trash.
Karen:
My nails are totally going to have to be re-done after this.
Pledge 1:
He is so heavy.
Gretchen:
Pledge one, no talking more disposing of the body.
Regina:
Ok girls this stays between us. Pinky promise. And if anyone asks we blame this on Delta Kappa Phi. Those fat ass hoes suck.
Pledge 3:
So do I get my track suit now?
After the script was created we casted the different characters and began to gather supplies for costumes and sets.
Then began the filming. We filmed for a full day in one location. During the filming we modified the script to accommodate and issues we encountered. Once the filming was complete we uploaded a total of 70 video clips and still images into Adobe Premiere Pro. During the editing process we added sound effects and music as well as spliced different shots together to ad dynamics to the film.
